Works great and easy to install

Works great and easy to install. Had a mount with mini-transformers on both ends. I cut the wires, threw away the transformers and replaced them with an electronic ballast. Works great and connects easily. Used with InstanFit Phillips LED bulbs.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Modern

Great product at a reasonable price

Great cost effective solution to replacing old lights with LED bulbs. Connected to existing fittings and everything is fine. LED lamps have almost no latency, like fluorescent lamps and ballasts, they are very quiet, with no hum or buzz. Recommend this ballast for retrofit

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Let's see how long others last

Used 6 of these so far to replace faulty ballasts in existing fixtures (garage fixtures). One failed after about 6 months - looks like it overheated the bulbs and melted the mounting pin contacts - a milder failure mode would be expected. The rest has worked flawlessly so far.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Requires socket

Cheap and easy, the best in electronics

Half the price of the equivalent at Lowe's. Installation was pretty easy. The wires were good and long. I have changed 10/17 ballasts in my house in the last 2 days. I'll let them burn out in a few months and then take care of the rest. I'm very happy with the results (brighter and whiter light with 20% less power consumption).

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Easily torn

Terrible hum in the ballasts

These ballasts hum or buzz terribly. Of all the replacement ballasts I've used, these are without a doubt the loudest. A real shame because they are priced right. .Now they're going in the bin and I'll have to try something else. I lost 53 ballasts in a brownout and bought them to replace the ones that had burned, what a horrible and costly decision I made, never again.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Available in white only

Came in solid block packaging; for one, for all.

Used to install new LED bulbs. I had to replace the wiring when installing the ballast by trimming and reducing the number of wires going to the holder's terminals. You Tube did it. Everything works fine, once you make one the others run faster - you buy 10 of these so installation speed is a factor, the ballast fits right on top of the old grommets. I have no way of controlling my energy savings, but I feel more environmentally friendly.

Pros
  • High quality construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Successful LED conversion project

Wanted to switch from fluorescent to LED but needed to change ballasts. I had never done this before so I was a little worried about how difficult it might be. The ballasts came with clear rewiring instructions and everything went smoothly. The goods arrived quickly, corresponded to the advertisement and description, so I am very satisfied. The price was the best I could find. All the old units have been replaced and if all goes to plan I won't have to change the light for the next 10 years!

Pros
  • Equivalent: Philips-Advance REL-2P32SC, REB2P32SC; Howard E2/32IS/120SC; Sola E-758-F-232-SC
Cons

Excellent option – ballasts

I bought these to replace a row of 8 lights on my kitchen ceiling. The old ballasts were of the T12 type and some of them were difficult to turn on. There are also 16 bulbs and I've changed them here and there. Enter Robertson's new T8 ballasts. After a month of use we really liked them. They turn on instantly when you hit the switch, and none of them buzz. I find that this type of ballast also uses less power than the old magnetic ballast. Also, when connecting the T8 ballast, the old T12…

Slow start in ballasts

UPDATE: The ballast I put in my garage died a week ago 4/1/2021. I wish I could be as lucky as others. I will contact the seller/manufacturer regarding the warranty. They claim a 5 year guarantee. I'll let you know how it goes. The price is fair, but don't expect the LED to light up right away. I installed half of the 10 kits I bought and I have two separate models of LED bulbs in some fixtures. Initially I thought there might be a "burn-in" so they would work when switched. They glow half…
