Hook sizes S correspond to the description. They are thick and strong enough to handle most household items and kitchen utensils in ordinary families. The black ones are a bit larger than just the chrome ones, but it's good to have two sizes and two colors for different locations and tasks. I tried twisting and deforming them with my bare hands, but failed miserably and ended up injuring my hands. So don't try. I used them in my garden for my plants. The pots weigh 15-20 pounds each and they handle them with no problem. Before the hooks I used ropes to tie them up and getting them up and down was a big problem. These hooks make my life in the garden much easier, they look neat and durable. Hopefully they don't also rust as advertised or I'll upgrade later to ensure real durability when they show signs of outdoor wear. They are great helpers in the garden.
