Purchased to combat persistent cat litter odor in guest room. The cat didn't have any "accidents", but the smell hit you as soon as you entered the room. I removed all beds and curtains, vacuumed thoroughly and aired all day, but it still smelled. I decided to try this before having the rug professionally cleaned even though it has very little traffic and looks clean. I left the door closed overnight and was amazed that I didn't smell the cat the next day. It's also nice that the product itself didn't have a strong smell (I used a smaller lavender-scented jar). All textiles are washed and replaced, and the room returns to the freshness of a cat.
