Review on ๐Ÿ”” Mirrycle Incredibell Trail Bell - Black by Don Taniguchi

Not for Singletrack

The design is quite creative but poorly executed. The bell is hung on a bike mount with a flexible spring. There is a magnet in the bell. There is also a magnet on the lever that you can pull. As you drive, the idea is that the bell will sound as you drive over bumps to warn others along the way. The problem is that there is no bell, spring and magnets; The assembly is cheap plastic and if you hit something you would normally hit while mountain biking, the bell could break. Mine broke about 1/4 the first time I rode it (see photos). Other problems are subjective nuances. Installation is done by the Philips micro head behind the spring. I'd rather have the hex head on the outside as I carry a set of hex keys when I travel. The call is not as loud as I would like. I drive on expressways and it's not loud enough to warn oncoming traffic. Pros: - well thought out design - works as advertised - rubber ring for mounting Cons: - made of cheap plastic and breaks very easily. - Cumbersome installation. Summary: This bell will likely work well if you're cruising around the neighborhood and maybe riding off-tech, which defeats the purpose as this bell is most useful on windy, slick, multipurpose, blind turner and single-track trails . If you're into aggressive singletrack riding I wouldn't recommend this bell. 1 star for the design 1 star because it looks like it will be a hassle free return (I will update if not)
