If this is the case, you will have to turn off the water and drain the tank, then remove the connector and the rubber washer that was sucked in, reassemble the fittings and check for leaks again when turning the water back on. These were the hardest installation tasks, but everything else is very easy and takes around 30-60 minutes from start to finish.
