Review on JOBY Gorillapod 1K Stand: Lightweight Flexible Tripod for Mirrorless Cameras up to 1Kg (2.2Lbs) – Black/Charcoal by James Pope

I use this tripod head with an Elgato ring light because the ball head that comes with it is really awful. I actually already had a Gorillapod, so I could just take the head off and order another one for later. This ball head is fantastic. The real ball and cradle are made of this really good metal. The plate that connects to the camera and the part it sits on are plastic, but that's not a big deal because it feels solid too. The tripod head holds my camera in place with ease and doesn't move at all. This is one of the best pens I have ever felt. I know it seems messy but the handle is actually very smooth and fluid but it absorbs everything well. The inclusion of a bubble level on the camera plate is also a nice touch because it helps me position my camera well and even when I want to mount it. Now I have 2 of these and they both work great for me.
