Well I have sold: Digital thermometers

I bought this knowing full well that it would not work for the task. I knew I would keep it, find another use for it, and continue my search for a different solution. Problem: I have a chest freezer in my garage. Sometimes the switch trips unexpectedly. It could be moisture from an external outlet on the same circuit, I need to find that out. Anyway, I've lost 3 or 4 freezers in the last few years due to this problem. And I'll let you in on a secret: It's NOT the right time to open a freezer full of meat and vegetables that has been unpowered and sealed in a garage in the Florida summer heat for two weeks. It might be the closest I've ever been to, "Fuck it, I'll burn the whole house down and start over." I'm just thinking about it, but that brings me to this little device. Put the sensor in a freezer and get an alarm if the temperature rises above 15F. But the closest place I could put the display is on the fridge in the kitchen. So, based on the layout of my house, the path from the display to the sensor is through both sides of the stainless steel refrigerator, through the kitchen wall, through the laundry room, through the cinder block wall separating the laundry room from the garage, and through the walls/top of the freezer. You can see why I had no real hope that this would work. Also, what are the chances that the sensor and its standard rechargeable AA NiMH batteries will remain operational in a freezer where temperatures typically reach -5°F? Well all I can say is I'm sorry I doubted you, you're an amazing baby. . Seriously - I set everything up and the sensor information appeared on the display with no issues. It has been working stably with the original battery pack for several months. I had turned the switch off twice already (probably due to unusually heavy rain) and both times I was able to reset it before anything in the freezer thawed because I had an alarm to warn me. Now it's not perfect. . The build quality is a bit like 'throw away electronics', it's something not built for the time. Но, если честно, и я не могу этого не подчеркнуть, если это остановит меня от того, чтобы когда-либо снова ощущать запах сырой курицы, говядины, моркови, брокколи и т. д. двухнедельной давности, которые тушились в ерметичном ящике с 90F , I don't care. Enough for now but I will buy more later. It's worth it.
