Just checked the mop head so I can check the mop head too (forgive me if some of what I write here is cut and pasted but I covered the mop head a lot in reviewing the mop itself, so I might as well include that part of the review here). This is an AMAZING mop; the best i have ever used. It cleans floors better than a regular sponge or cotton mop, plus the mop itself has a scouring attachment for sticky stains so you can scrub hard and remove. In terms of absorbency, it soaks up a lot more than a regular sponge mop, plus it has those grooves (hard to describe) in the contoured sponge that collect dirt. THAT'S COOL! Seriously, mopping isn't about wetting the floor, it's about magically liquefying the dirt and picking it up on the mop. There is a lot of pet hair, dirt, food crumbs, etc. that are difficult to pick up. But the grooves in this mop head catch the dirt, then dip it in the mop bucket, wring it out and it's gone. How much do I love this mop and mops? My original mop broke (after years of use) and I couldn't find a replacement mop - only replacement heads. So I bought attachments and ANOTHER mop and then drilled holes in the attachments so I could attach a new mop to them. I finally found a replacement wiper here at Revain. Are there better mops? May be. But in over 20 years of personal mop experience, this is (by far) the best I've found, so I'll be sticking with it until they stop making it.
