Review on Microsoft WS3 00001 Surface Mouse by Ryan Calabro

Expects much, much more than that. It looks like a toy.

After falling in love with the Surface Keyboard, I expected the mouse to be just as impressive. Instead, I have a piece of plastic that shifts in my hand when I use excessive pressure to press very noisy, uncomfortable buttons that feel like hollow plastic. In fact, the mouse itself is so light that I believe the feather can fly off into the sunset instead of weighing the feather down. The only positive thing about this mouse is that the wheel feels very solid! I have to give her credit for that! The number one main complaint I have with this mouse is that it disconnects from my BlueTooth every few minutes. The mouse itself doesn't turn off, Windows just won't pick it up until I turn off BT on my PC and then restart it. I literally have the settings page on Bluetooth all day and every few minutes I have to alt-tab, press space twice to toggle BT on/off and then 2 seconds later my mouse is back and I can get back to work. In minutes. I had to choose between this mouse, which shuts itself down every few minutes, or my old mouse, which jumps into a random position every time you lift it more than an inch. I ended up using that because it's a lot more frustrating! As far as mice go, that's the biggest crap I've ever had. including those $3 mice I bought a few years ago. At least they worked until the day they quit completely. The mouse disappears every few minutes. I don't think I need to finish this sentence. I believe you can do it yourself!
