I honestly bought this with full expectation that it would be a junk gimmick and I've used it several times before deciding it was a waste of time and money . ... well, I was wrong. this thing works damn well. Before I bought these I spent 4 hours with an old pair of contacts before having to switch to a 'fresh' pair. and no, just pulling it out and washing it thoroughly didn't work. at best I can get another 20 minutes before they fog up again. I just put too much protein in my eyes for contact lenses and cleaning products to be terribly user friendly. Now I can wear them continuously for 12-14 hours and don't have to rinse my eyes after use like they are a brand new pair. never worn lenses. Of course I use a 5 minute wash every day. i see protein foam on the surface of the saline solution in the sound pool when i first add the contacts it is still there at the end of the 2 minute cycle but by the 5 minute cycle it has disappeared. My guess is that it actually does what it says on the tin because the saline always looks weirdly oily afterwards.
