Review on M12 10 oz Caulk Gun Tool Only - Milwaukee 2441-20 by Eric Jefferson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not good for many starts/stops but good for long runs.

This is not the panacea I expected. I bought it in the middle of preparing and painting the back wall. I have a very old house that required a lot of prep and a lot of sealing. I figured it would sort of only pay off in this job as it was all about speed and hand fatigue. We ended up using a lighter $15 non-drip version than this one. It is of course larger and heavier than conventional handguns. When you pull the trigger, it starts moving the "stepper motor" forward at a controlled speed, which is nice. When the trigger is released, the stepper motor returns just one step to stop the sealing device. It works out. But if you start and stop a lot, it's not that helpful. Actually, it slows you down. If you have long queues this would be convenient and helpful. IMO, the more intermittent your uses are, the less useful it is.

Pros
  • Annual probationary period
Cons
  • The list will be long.
