Review on πŸ›‘οΈ Shepherd Hardware 9966 SurfaceGard: Non-Adhesive Surface Protection by Robert Pearson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not impressed at first but after a while.

*UPDATE* Wrote this review right after "installation" and as stated was not impressed. A few hours passed and I decided to play with it and to my surprise the glass doesn't move unless I apply excessive force to it. I also ended up going back and adding a second to each of the 4 small "legs" that are attached to the underside of the glass on the table. So it looks like they will work after all and I would recommend them! I guess I just need to let them rest for a bit, or at least in my case "Metal" > "Wood", I have free space on my new L-shaped desk to give me more desk space and a straight one too Giving edge for my peripherals as I have chosen to center myself diagonally by having 3 monitors instead of on one of the straight edges of the desk and this allows for more headroom I actually roll my chair closer to make the peripherals more comfortable reach. The only problem was that the glass lid moved slightly everywhere. Bought them thinking they would help him stay relatively calm. In any case, note the difference between having them and not having them, don't get me wrong; but they don't do their job as well as I had hoped. Maybe I misunderstand the product and my review is unfair. Maybe I understand their purpose and they just don't live up to my expectations. Who knows! The only thing I can say for sure is that I'm glad I got them for the price I had then and not the price they are now. Also, I'm pretty sure I'll go the other way for more satisfying results.
