I loved this irrigator until it broke when I finally had to charge it. I travel a lot and it easily fits in my suitcase. I have periodontitis which means flossing is essential if I like my teeth. I usually hate flossing but this was really fun. Also, I received good news at the dentist's office when I returned for a four-month check-up. I yelled at my friend that this floss is an absolute bargain because it helps my oral health. Then in February, this thing acted like a possessed person when I tried to charge it. I plugged it in and it lit up and then went off. I've tried different adapters of the same type that came with the irrigator to see if that's the problem. It's not like this. Suddenly - not connected to the network. this thing turned on in the bathroom while my husband was on a conference call (small cramped city apartment WFH.yay. no water in it anyway so according to AF). I ran to the bathroom to turn it off, wondered how it turns itself on, joked about the poltergeist - and then this damn thing can't be turned off. I try everything. I press each button, plug and unplug the adapter. Nothing. I ended up wrapping him in a giant blanket and burying him in a closet until he died. I wanted to send it back but the window was closed. Curse. It was fine while it lasted, but apparently (source: my now smug boyfriend laughs at my cheap ass for what I paid for) when the battery fires in cheap stuff it glitches when the on/off button doesn't is working. It turns out he was right, because two weeks after the Irrigation incident, the same error occurred on a beloved cheap rechargeable sonic toothbrush. We were on a trip, and while learning from an obsessive waterer, I threw that fish in the trash and endured another lesson in being cheap. Whatever the case, it cost less than $30 for the dentist's praise for my gums. I'm investing in something better but when it works this picture is amazing. Just don't expect it to take long.
