Maybe I'm ignorant but I've never heard of a coffee maker in my life that makes 10 cups of coffee without a heating element in the base to keep warm. I do not agree that the decanter is insulated as the manufacturers claim. You brew coffee and what's left in the pot cools almost as quickly as the coffee you poured into the cup. My 1978 Snoopy Thermos kept liquids hot longer than this thing. Any shopper over 50 who remembers scalding himself on the contents of a school thermos knows that vacuum flask is a toy. If I had read the reviews I would not have bought it. My mistake. The machine is only suitable for one customer or family who brew coffee and then all have a cup at once and then quit for the day.
