I ordered an add-on for convenience
I ordered an add-on so I can put a new filter in before I get under the car. Now I just take the old one off, put it on the drain bucket and immediately put the new one on. Then, after an oil change, I clean the dirty oil filter cap so it's ready for the next oil change.
