I ordered these soldering tips in the T18-BL version (smallest soldering tip offered) as I wanted to complement my existing soldering tips which are slightly larger were as I like for finer electronics work On arrival I installed the first pack in my Hakko FX-888D and it fitted perfectly - no gaps or exposed ceramic heater once the tip is in place Functionally they work fine for me as I have some wires spliced and LEDs to create an IR head tracking project I can't report any problems using it I always use a glass 'tip can' to keep the tip in good condition and I am happy with the product NOTE: I always use lead solder as I can't work with lead-free solder for personal projects, so I can't say if it works any differently with lead-free solder. The price (about $7 for a pack of 5 ck) is quite reasonable and frankly a welcome surprise compared to some other tips I've looked at in the past.
