I have had this product for 2 years. and just bought a new one (as I accidentally ran the last one through the dishwasher a couple of times and the batteries died completely). The fact that I'll buy the same one again speaks volumes for its quality. It is very temperature resistant and easy to store due to its small size. The latter had great durability - worked great for two years (and I'm sure it would have lasted longer if it weren't for the dishwasher incidents). The only downside is that it can take some time to get to the true temperature - a gradual rise to the correct temperature over 10-15 seconds. However, it is clear when it is at the right temperature because it stops rising. Overall this might not be the best product for you if you are a chef who needs instant temperature reading but for everyone else I would say this is a great product!
