Pay special attention to the sizes. In the pictures they should get very small kittens playing with him or use Photoshop. My 4 month old kittens are already too big for these scratching posts. Two main problems: 1) They're not big enough for kittens to stretch and scratch, so they don't get used to it. 2) They must be placed against the wall or they will tip over - they are very light and unstable. If you put it in front of the furniture you want to get the kittens to stop scratching, the kittens will only end up scratching those items because they are too short. I thought the balls would get my kittens to play with them a lot more, but they hit the ball once or twice and never touched it again. It turns out I have a lot of toys at home that are way more fun. This is a product that looked like it would be good, but it didn't work.
