Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Renogy Drill-Free Mount Set for RV, Boats - Corner Bracket Solar Panel Roof Installation by Phil Casey

Great alternative to punching

In combination with Sikaflex 221 an unbeatable combination. When I first installed solar panels on the roof of a van, I used regular steel brackets and screws. Big mistake. The screws couldn't find a hold as RV roofs are made only of sunlight. And of course, every time you drill a hole you create a potential leak point, which requires careful sealing and constant maintenance. With these brackets you have enough space for a really good hold on the roof. Use a bunch of Sikaflex and you're done. I attached my Renogy solar panels to the brackets by drilling holes (each bracket has cutouts specifically for this) and using screws. After the brackets were screwed on, I glued them to the RV's roof with Sikaflex. This allows me to easily remove the panels in case of damage, but I didn't have to drill any holes to attach the panels. I've traveled across the country with this setup in all weather conditions. No problem.
