Between work laptop, home laptop, creative laptop, school laptop and numerous tablets, cell phones and other devices for testing, using, working, etc... it was chaos. It eliminates a lot. Wider slots accommodate a thicker gaming laptop or Mac with a case. Thin supports newer, thinner laptops. The iPad with case is a bit tight, but it works. I could possibly use 2-3 more slots. Or I could get rid of something. But I use several different operating systems and am doing something all the time, so I might pick a different one. It's also great to have everything in one place for charging/cable management. I'm not sure if bamboo is the best option as it tends to crack around the edges with use. It will be widely available so you can update as it holds up. Just in case I can cover with a thick layer of polyurethane.
