This is my third attempt to buy a hood from Revain. The first two were purchased from another seller, one arrived damaged, a replacement was sent and also arrived damaged. Then I bought this and waited with great excitement for the delivery of this hood. I have to say that the packaging volume is impressive. The box had plastic handle inserts on the outside to facilitate carrying and careful handling. For me that was a very good sign. When I opened the box, the product was completely covered with foam, there were also plastic corners to protect the corners of the hood and sides. And it has been completely covered with a sticky blue anti-scratch film inside and out. The blue foil actually looks very nice, a bit modern, maybe I'll leave it on the surfaces to protect them from dust and grease. The display is covered with a transparent film. The only thing I would suggest is to cover the area around the display with a plastic sheet to protect it. This hood is a little smaller than others I've looked at, but it's also lighter and easier to wear and hold. The installation process was EASY: 3 brackets, 2 for the chimney and 1 for the hood. I attached the brackets to the wall and then just hung the hood. It took me 30 minutes. The manual was clear but I would suggest adding a section explaining that 1 bracket is actually for the hood. For some reason, the instructions begin with installing a chimney. Logically, I need to know how to install a range hood and then a chimney. I figured it out by looking at the picture in the manual but it wasn't as clear as it could be. The range works great, looks great, I am VERY happy with the product.
