Review on Canon G3200 Wireless Supertank Printer: All-In-One Convenience in Black (0630C002) by Tony Andrews

This printer has an expiration date and is called an ink absorber pad.

This printer was great UNTIL we discovered Canon's money suckers. There are what are called ink absorbing pads or waste ink pads that are located inside the printer in the lower compartment. Their job is to collect ink and suck it up while cleaning/emptying etc. The problem is that eventually they fill up and can't take any more. And your printer gives an error code and stops printing. Is it easy to change pads? NO. You can not. You can easily remove them from the printer and you can also easily put new ones in, but THEY DO NOT SELL ANYWHERE ON EARTH. Canon's customer service solution was simply to buy a new printer. They don't sell pads and you can't fix the car. Despite the fact that the machine itself works perfectly. There is an online override, which is a series of key presses to clean up the code, but that doesn't solve the problem. The duct tape helps him temporarily, until he starts splattering ink all over the paper, filling the machine with excess ink that has nowhere to go. The sinks are still full, remember? But I suspect they must have found a way to make up for the loss of money from selling all those ink cartridges. "Let's just fool the consumer with this great, economical reusable printer by putting in an unavailable but easily repairable part so they have to throw out the whole unit and buy a new one." So. Economical. I have a lot of Canon products (for photography) and will absolutely not buy anything from Canon again.
