Used as a spares box for various "tools". It's perfect for holding small springs, detents, scopes, muzzle devices, crush washers, and I even have a few bolts and bolt carriers. It is divided into two parts. The top section is for smaller parts like springs and detents, locking pistons, while the bottom section is for larger parts like fixed sights and bolts/bolt carriers. The top is secure and I find the lid fits snugly into the compartments. I had a very small quill or two that found their way into other compartments, but they didn't get lost. That's perfectly acceptable to me. I sometimes travel with this suitcase so it doesn't just sit on my desk. So I think it captures small details quite well. It can be adjusted with the included plastic dividers which are very durable. I'll add that I really need to take a knife or exacto and break up the little pieces of plastic that hold the baffles together. This can prevent the spacer from freely sliding into the slots. Once the divider is in the slot, it won't slide up or create gaps underneath for the pieces to mix. The latches that secure the lids do so very securely and I've never had a problem with a lid opening unexpectedly. Of course there are cheaper cases out there, but this case really solves a problem that a case can't. This gives you a lower area that can be used to store larger and/or longer items (think larger items that need deeper compartments) and an upper area that can be used to store smaller and more delicate items. It is very difficult to find a case that can do all of this. You can, but you end up with a large compartment or a deep compartment that only has a few small feathers. In this case, I don't feel like I'm wasting space. That's a good feeling. The pen is also very durable and as stated in the description this is a very portable case. All in all a very good buy for a very durable and functional case. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to my friends (both me and my friends who bought it are very happy with the product).
