Most people would use this product to build processors on a heatsink on a computer motherboard. However, I needed a putty-like substance with high thermal conductivity in which to embed a solar pool thermocouple to measure air temperature. My existing thermocouple on top of the solar pool went south and instead of climbing there to fix it I simply placed a high heat capacity metal rod on a pole about 6 feet off the ground in an unshaded area and attached the new thermocouple to it, and applied food. this leading line to the controller. This heatsink bundle provided good thermal contact between the thermocouple and the thermal mass. Works like a champ.
