Ok but I wanted to use my old keys (blades) and just reprogram the fob as I use the VAGCOM program and i have i know the immobilizer code but the blades are a bit thinner so i had to cut them off at $45 apiece and i was able to program all my keys and they worked. But the locksmith I used can program them for a different price of $75 each. and my local VW dealers don't even cut them. So if you need them be ready and take all the keys with you when you cut and program them (the broken ones still work and even your locksmith if you have one) and we are the original owners so I have one code and a service key. Hope this helps but I'm glad to have 2 more working keys.
