I usually check the sizes of the things I buy because the sizes with pictures can be deceiving. However, I saw in the description of this lamp that it can be connected to a computer and since I was looking for it I bought it for my laptop. I bought it for two reasons: My keyboard is almost unreadable in the current lighting, so I need a lamp to get a better view of the entire keyboard. Second, I'm on some Zoom calls and wanted better lighting to not look so orange. When I opened the box and saw the lamp, I realized it was too big to fit on top of my laptop. And when I turned the lamp towards me in Zoom, the light, even when it was dim, blurred me. But then I started playing with it. I attached it to the computer desk behind the laptop. It illuminates the keyboard perfectly and the light doesn't hit my eyes. The lamp itself makes a very solid impression. The clamp doesn't move and the flexible neck is thick enough not to break but still flexible enough to move the lamp. Regarding the lighting to zoom in, I found that if I moved the lamp to the side and turned on another lamp on the opposite side, the lighting was great. So the lamp is a keeper.
