I freeze about 100 cups of corn a year and got lifted with a knife. I tried it this year after hearing people talking about it and it worked great! Especially if you like boiled corn. I didn't have perfect cores, but I was looking for speed, not accuracy. If I didn't get the whole core, I would run it again and it would fall to pieces. Very fast. I found that I got the most out of the corn in no time by holding the corn to the bottom of a large bowl and slicing off the bottom half, then flipping it over and slicing off the top half. I even loaned it to a neighbor because I was so excited. They liked it too!
