I am very happy with this unit! I need to switch between my work laptop and my DAW computer and have switched cables and adapters depending on what I'm doing. Some connections caused problems with the audio, not to mention that toggling was excruciating. I have two good quality Yamaha monitors for video/audio projects and only use XLR cables to connect them for a balanced clean sound. This Little Bear unit ABSOLUTELY maintains sonic integrity and sounds significantly cleaner than my previous adapter. I use the RCA input for my non-DAW computer (aux RCA cable). And again XLR from the bear to my Yamahas. I use a DAW audio interface that I connect via XLR. Friggen LOVES that. Thanks EINS! There are not many such solutions! I have to assume that all the negative reviews are the result of a misunderstanding about the differences between cable types (e.g. TRS, TR and XLR) and between balanced and unbalanced signals, as cables tend to look the same when they really aren't do.
