This GMB fan clutch is designed for heavy duty. For "Extra Heavy Duty" there is also a GMB fan clutch (930-2050). I contacted a GMB representative to choose the best option for my needs here in hot Alabama (continuous air conditioning) and towing a 3500# boat with a 1500 Suburban. He suggested switching to Extra Heavy Duty under such circumstances. In addition, the clutch should be changed after approx. 100,000 km for optimal engine cooling. No expensive purchase and easy to change. With the reinforced clutch, the fan noise is louder and longer.
