Review on 🐱 Premium Clumping Cat Litter by Dr. Elsey by Anita Fernandez

This cat litter resulted in a slight improvement in our cat peeing outside the litter box (about 50%). However, after over 1 year of use I can definitely say that I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of this filler and really hate it. All of the clumping and non-clumping fillers I've used in the last 25 ears have absorbed well. Not in this litter. This results in a lot more litter being used each time the cat urinates. Please note: every time one of my cats urinates, around 3-4 times more litter is used! That's a huge difference! And considering that this filler is twice as expensive as regular filler, the bottom line is that Dr. Elsey's just rips off consumers. An additional effect of its poor absorbency is that when a cat urinates, urine will drain to the bottom of the bowl. Because it is not very absorbent, this filler does not absorb well either. This means that when the cat urinates, the clump will remain soft and moist (and remember, since the litter is minimally absorbent, it's quite large). This creates huge, ugly, gooey messes in my Litter Robot automatic toilet bowls, and scooping them out by hand gets messy both in the box and on your scoop. I intend to opt out of using this filler, but I am currently in a situation where the behavior could degrade again if I make changes. For this reason, I STRONGLY urge you never to try this litter without first trying a cat-attractive supplement with regular clumping litter, as it can be more effective, less expensive, and less messy. My experience: Poor quality fountain pen, terrible price.
