I run a lot, but I don't see myself as a runner. I mean, I probably run 3 or 4 times a week, usually 6 miles per run. But I'm not a marathon runner and my pace is in the 6-7 mph range. I live in Arizona so I can run most of the year except in very hot weather (even then I still do it sometimes). My favorite brand is ASICS and I have tried many different versions of this brand from cheap to very expensive. I once bought a pair of these UA sneakers while traveling and forgot to take my sneakers with me. It was the only one I could find in the small town I was traveling to and given the price, my expectations were low. However, this is truly one of the most comfortable running shoes I've ever used. I have flat feet so the lack of a large protruding arch is a plus for me. They are supportive but the sole is very soft and protects my feet from impact while running. However, this shoe works best on pavement or mud without rocks. They don't protect you from sharp rocks and don't prevent the cleats from penetrating the sole at all. Also, they probably won't last 300 miles, especially in the heat. However, given the price, I am willing to buy them again and again rather than more expensive shoes because they are so comfortable. Highly recommended if you know what you are getting.
