I've used a factory cable from my computer to the Bose Companion 2.0 for years. The speakers seemed to have "dirty" bass which I assumed was the computer's sound card to blame. I took a chance (only $16) and felt the difference in the first five minutes of listening. The sound became clearer; The mids and highs were easier to hear, and the bass was a nice, powerful punch that gave the speakers greater dynamic range. I suggest trying these out!
