This will not work on a 2004 325xi, check the electrical connection. It has 6 tongues, not 3
I have experienced this problem many times, look at the picture and look at your mass airflow. They look almost the same except for the electrical connection. I've looked for 2004 and they say it fits 2004 but this one has the wrong connector. Most 2004s have three metal bars. This one has six.
