I have several of these that I help out in this way. BUSINESS That's good. This is a zipped bag and is protective but not rigid. The scissors are held with rubber bands. BLADES The blades on straight scissors are not as tight as I would like my scissors to be. These scissors have a place that is too much for me. However, completing points is a plus. LENGTH There are two lengths in this list. One says 5.48 inches and the other says 6. It's a solid 6 inches. I prefer mine to be closer to 5 1/2. ARE YOU FUNCTIONING WELL? I've cut some hair with it and while it cuts well, it's still not as good as my other scissors that I like to have at home. CUSHIONS Pillows in holes are good. They help relieve stress from repetitive use of scissors/scissors over a long period of time. I love that it comes with an extra pair of pads. SCISSORS / TIP SCISSORS Thinning scissors have a much denser blade. There is no space between them like an even pair. CONCLUSION These are decent scissors if you want them to do your hair. If you're more of a professional and want a good, solid pair of scissors that close tight all around, the straight scissors in this set won't impress you. However, thinning scissors are good. MY RATING IS FOUR STARS. Pretty but not as pretty as I was hoping, this set will help me carry a pair of scissors with me to do my hair at home. In fact, I have a spare pair of scissors that are actually 5 1/2 inches long and I put them in a case instead. You can have more comfortable blades and smoother operation. I'm just not happy with the straight scissors in this set. The thinning scissors are still pretty good or I would give them THREE stars.
