Small wooden handle but good hammer head for modest money, MIC tool but ok, same price
Wooden handle well set but hickory handle fibers parallel to the face. the grain of the wood does not go up the grip, but across, perpendicular to the axis of impact / head. I sanded the handle and saw a few cracks in the grain. Good hammer head, may need a new handle installed if used heavily. I no longer need hammers, but I would NOT buy this again if I need more tools.
