Description of TEKTON 30325 Jacketed Fiberglass Magnetic: A Reliable Solution for Efficient Handling

16 inch framer length lets you take big, powerful swings while the anti-slip, axe-inspired handle stays correctly positioned in your hand. High-strength fiberglass handle is protected by an impact-resistant poly jacket. Cross milled face grips nail heads to reduce glancing blows and features a magnetic nail-starting slot. Sharpened straight claw pries apart boards, demolishes drywall, and pulls nails. Permanent head-to-handle epoxy bond will not loosen over time.

Hammer works great for a person taller than 5 " 5'

Doesn't hold all nails well, magnet isn't as strong as I thought it would be but it worked in the end. I was still too small to reach.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • doubt

Hammering with power tools and hand tools

The hammer is great for the price. A little slippery, I carved a handle into it. I lost my good hammer but I needed it the next day I love Revane for that lol. They definitely make the best hammers, but they will do any job that a more expensive one will. For carpenters, this will give food for thought because of the cheaper metal.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Looked like a good hammer for a good price but I...

Looked like a good hammer for a good price but I was wrong. The head detached from the handle shortly after the first project I used it on. Very dangerous on the last job. Decided to only use fixed shank/head and handle hammers for now. Just bought this hammer for Stanley: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00005QVQL/ref=psdc_553194_t2_B000I1KH8Q It should be much stronger. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Only available in white

Wooden handle well set but hickory handle fibers parallel to the face. the grain of the wood does not go up the grip, but across, perpendicular to the axis of impact / head. I sanded the handle and saw a few cracks in the grain. Good hammer head, may need a new handle installed if used heavily. I no longer need hammers, but I would NOT buy this again if I need more tools.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Almost never

Great buy if you do light or small jobs.

This hammer probably won't work for a pro, but for a hobbyist like me who only needed it to build a backyard shed, the price was right. He did what I needed in the short amount of time it took me. To me, a $40 hammer to use for a few days just didn't make sense. For those who just need a frame hammer for something small or for repairs, consider this listing if you plan on swinging your hammer every day for a living. I'm sure you will need something more.

Pros
  • Power and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Some Small Things

good banger I wasn't sure I would like the magnetic one.

Good hammer. I wasn't sure if I needed a magnetic nail holder but it fits me. I've used it with both 16p and 9p nails and it adds about a foot to my workspace compared to having to use both hands to set the nail. Also leaves one hand free to hang from a ladder, top plate, etc. when driving a nail. It's not the first hammer I'd pick for general housework, but it's a great frame hammer for use on the job site if you don't have a nail gun handy.

Pros
  • Hammers with claws
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Yes Yes for hobbyists

Excellent framework for the average person, layman. Used this for a 10 day build of a pitched roof astro observatory shed. Flawless, after a little practice I'm running 3 1/2" electroplated frames 3-4 strokes in PT. The knurled head grips nails but can leave marks on the wood that can't be masked by trim or boards. But it isn't a consummation hammer so that shouldn't be a problem. Buddy had a signature hammer of the same size which I used a couple of times when it was within reach and mine…

Pros
  • Tools and household goods
Cons
  • So far so good
