Review on ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Ronxs LED Taper Window Candles with Timer - Flickering Flameless Remote Operated Christmas Decorations (6 Pcs Gold) by Melvin Belton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Holy Mother Chito, these things are orange!

I updated my review after a few days of use to add stars because they appear at the same time every day when you use the timer function, which is an incredibly handy feature. You don't have to walk around the house with a remote control and turn them on one by one, which is much more convenient than the old corded candles. First impression: Good - candle flicker seems decent. If you look closely, you can see that the pattern repeat is quite short, but that's normal for holiday decorations. They're a good size, and with LEDs, a single candle design makes sense. I wish they were permanently attached to plastic candle holders (as I would never use them in other candle holders as interior decorations instead of real candles). - The suction cups actually suck, which I wouldn't expect from a budget product like this. I figured there was no way he could leave them on the windows, but I'm glad I was wrong. Poor - LEDs are not warm white and not even yellowish, poor imitation of candlelight. You are ORANGE. Like an orange for Halloween. Orange Donald Trump. Orange safety vest. Orange Cheese Nacho. skin tanning Christo "The Gate". ORANGE. They look a little lame compared to the candles I remember from my childhood and other LED candles I've seen since then. TBH is the least flame-like color of any electric candle I've seen. I specifically looked for information about the light color in the reviews, but I don't think I looked closely enough because it's unrealistic, to say the least. The plastic parts are not precisely processed. I screwed on one of the bases and forgot to press the button before inserting it into the plastic candle holder. When I pulled it back to turn it on, the base popped out and was stuck firmly in the plastic candle holder. The twist lock mechanism that holds them together is very weak and the candle holders are imprecise. In fact, this happened several times when I installed them around my house. Ugly - did I mention they're orange? Orange Golden Gate Bridge. Orange koi fish. Orange carrot soup. Pretty ugly ORANGE. Update a year later: I replaced them with a cheaper set from a local major retailer. The replacements didn't have a remote control with all sorts of options, but they were cheaper and made nicer light and had a timer function, which is really the only must-have feature for me. The impetus for the replacement was that none of the suction cups were sticking after a year of storage, so I needed ones with a smaller base/less heavy construction that wouldn't fall off my windowsills unless glued to the glass. It wasn't until I put new batteries from the same box in another candle (left) and this product (right) that I noticed that they were quite dim even on the brightest settings. The photo doesn't capture the colors properly, as the new candle's brighter, more neutral light illuminated its clear plastic almost more than its own internal LED (and mine are so ugly they're almost cool). In any case, the retro counters create a strange color balance). I can offer this product to a neighbor who is going all out on Halloween after I upgraded my windows from a haunted house to a real holiday cheer.
