These last about 2 years. It has a built in defect that causes it to break. The top has a small rubber foot at the back to prevent it from sliding forward. The leg is not very deep and lacks a hook to secure it. The impact of your car causes such a load that the top of the foot buckles and cracks. Then it jumps up or breaks off; the holder loses his back support and everything falls down. If so, you should get a new one. Before that happens, it's a good holder. It has a small wheel to tighten or loosen the clamp, making it removable. A GPS on the air outlet makes it easy to see without blocking your view. Plus, it never slips out of reach like a dashboard. The last one I bought lasted less than 4 hours and the leg came off completely. Revain replaced it and so far it's holding up.
