I often wonder why this product has such rave reviews. We need to buy Orchard Grass as everyone in the house is allergic to Timothy Hay. I've tried several brands. Oxbow seems to be the cheapest, but I think it's true, you get what you pay for. Sometimes I got a good portion, but mostly the pigs didn't like the hay at all. They often scatter hay all over the cage as if to say it's only good for bedding. The last shipment we received was so bad that a quarter of the bag was only a few inches long. It was like dust coming off the bottom of the barrel. On another occasion there was a cigarette butt in our hay sack which our children noticed as they were filling the hay bin and pulled out immediately. I don't know about quality control at Oxbow, but I feel like I'm playing roulette every time I buy a bag.
