Review on Easesuper Solar TPMS with 4 External Sensors - Real-Time Monitoring & 6 Alarm Modes by Jodi Tisdale

So far so good: Tires and wheels

My daughter's car does not have an intelligent TPMS system that shows the amount of air in each tire. Your tires lose air over time. I have this device so she can see which tire is low and fill it up before her low tire light comes on. Sensors require you to screw a nut onto the valve stem before screwing the sensor on. Then use the wrench (included) to unscrew the nut until it is pressed against the sensor. This is necessary so that the sensor does not unscrew and fall off. Unfortunately due to the wheels on the car I couldn't use a wrench to tighten the nut so I had to take it off. The nuts can also prevent you from attaching the inlet hose fitting to the valve stem. So keep in mind that you may need to remove the nuts (or screw them all the way down) to inflate your tires. The sensors are separate so you can replace the battery when it runs out. Unfortunately, when screwing in or out, the sensor tends to unscrew itself. There is also a locking ring on the underside of the sensor that snaps into place. It tends to fall. It would be nice if the sensors held together better. According to the instructions, I switched on the device and screwed on the sensors one by one. As I screwed each sensor on, it connected to the main unit and displayed the tire pressure for that sensor (sensors are labeled to match specific corners of the car). No pairing was required - the sensors worked right out of the box. The kit includes a grippy rubber pad that you place on the dashboard. The main unit rests on a cushion to prevent it from sliding down. This works pretty well. The main unit is quite small, so not intrusive. All in all a pretty good device - and it's solar powered, or you can plug in a USB cable if you don't have enough sunlight to charge. This should make it much easier to monitor and adjust tire pressure.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Low maintainability
