I needed a new one because my husband accidentally washed our original magnet and ruined the dust magnet. We live on the beach and constantly struggle with dust due to the coastal winds and no garage. A slight wave of the CA cloth and our machines are ready to go! Remember that you don't need to wash a dirty car, only dust. Also, never use it on a car with any kind of moisture or you will just smear it. I wrapped it in newspaper for a few days before using it to soak up the excess wax. My old one had a wooden handle, but I didn't want to pay too much this time.
