I've had these things for years. I just replaced one I had for a while that stopped working. I put this on paper a few days before using it and it works fine. A shortcoming, however, is that after the first two applications, small red fibers remain on the car. It rubs off fairly easily with microfiber and I know it will stop after a few uses, but it's a bit annoying. Otherwise no real complaints
