Great product, a pleasure to use.

Such a fix should be in the arsenal of any photographer who shoots close-ups - children, animals, weddings. Ideal for indoor portraits without additional photo light. Different pros: The fastest portrait prime in Nikon's line of lenses. So much has been written about him that it is difficult to find any new advantages - this model has been produced for 12 years. In short - light, full frame, fairly fast focus compared to my Nikon 70-200 f2.8. The motor allows you to use it on cameras without a…

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

I took it for portraits - it fulfills its task 100% noticed that the main -95% travel of the focusing ring - lies within 0.45 -3 meters - at these distances from the object it works perfectly. With its pros: weight, accuracy and confidence af in twilight - good bokeh . . colors . ha small Has cons: my copy - accurately focuses only at distances of 0.5-4 meters to the object - then misses . . or squeeze the hole.

Exactly as promised by the manufacturer, high quality.

I use this lens mainly for portrait photography. It is very convenient that this lens is small, so I always take it with me and even when I do not plan to shoot portraits. Pros below: With a fairly small size, this lens contains high-quality optics. Sharp shots at aperture 1.4. Has some cons: There is none of them. For me, this lens is an example of what a manufacturer can design - perfect. I hope that the tradition of high-quality fifty dollars will not be violated in the new models.

A bad product, not worth the money.

Today they brought it and once decided to shoot on an open aperture. Chromate wildly! I took it for portraits, it will be hardly noticeable there, but the fact itself is depressing. Here is an example I had to set the focus adjustment to -20 and, judging by the tests, the optimum will be at -21.22. Too much. . It was not possible to adjust the autofocus in this way, even after the “computer tuning” was made under warranty. Everything remains the same: on the D7000 - 20 and a noticeable back.

Pros
  • luminosity
Cons
  • chromatic aberration, focus adjustment required

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

The picture quality is excellent, at 1.4 it smears a little, but at 1.8 it already gives full sharpness. And, let me quibble a little, I would like not to fix with the same aperture. With its pros: LIGHT! ! At a fairly low ISO D3000, it becomes possible to shoot without a flash almost constantly. With its cons: It is not very convenient to shoot on a crop in tight spaces. And, let me quibble a little, I would like not to fix with the same aperture.

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

I think that everyone should have a full stop. For 12 tyr, getting hi-end glass is a rarity. Significantly different from 1.4D - I do not recommend it. With its pros: 1. Gorgeous color reproduction. Before that, I didn’t even think that this was possible on my device (D300S). 2. Excellent sharpness even at F 1.4 3. Incredibly cool blur + beauty of colors in bokeh Some cons: At 1.4-1.8, it noticeably chromates purple, but not always - it depends on the lighting. 2nd is perfect.

I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

Shooting at 1.4 is very demanding on the level of the carcass autofocus system. For crop up to f2, sharpness will not be enough. Especially for those whocomplain about focusing accuracy: the lens only affects the speed, while the accuracy depends entirely on the carcass. If you want tocomnsistently get into focus at 1.4 - 1.8, fork out for a camera with professional autofocus. I didn’t have a single defective one on the D700 for 5 thousand frames. Pros
  • Beautiful blur zone. Quiet and fast enough focusing for such aperture. Excellent balance of lightness and quality. Price
Cons
  • The picture lacks character. Strong vignetting in the open (not a minus for me at all).

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

There was a marriage, the sealing gum came out at the place of attachment to the bayonet. They did it in the service. In general, the sediment remained unpleasant. Now everything is ok. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase! Different pros: Excellent picture, the background is blurred well, light and very comfortable to work with. Focusing is fast enough on the D700. Has cons: Plastic case, made in china (although this definitely affects the price).

Disgusting, not happy with the purchase.

I ordered a nikon 50mm lens, but in fact it came completely different. The box, packaging, instructions, everything corresponded to the order, but there was a whale lens in the box. I contacted the support service, and then adventures began . . In short, I returned the money only after 3 months . . It is not clear why there is no control before sending

Fits the description completely, very satisfying.

In general, apart from the fact that I had to tinker with adjusting the focus, the lens iscommpletely satisfied. The focus system is not the quietest. Do notrush to drawcomnclusions. See examples of pictures here: Pros: 1. Build quality. 2. The ability to correct focus in AF / MF mode, without fear that you will twist the focus motor to it (I turned the 50mm 1.8 II Canon head like this)) 3. High resolution glass, although 50 1.8G is a little better. At aperture f4 - the maximum resolution of

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

This is my all-time favorite lens and is permanently featured on film and digital bodies. Luminous and lightweight. Compact. Autofocus is performed "in an adult" - silently and without rotating the focusing ring. Has pros: Great image at any aperture with no soapy edges. The lens is superbly tailored and completed. Meets most of the requirements of the 21st century for high-end optics. With its cons: Focus speed is annoying. I can't say otherwise! There is a slight barrel distortion.

What you need, a cool purchase, I advise you.

Good lens. Under the right lighting conditions, it gives a very beautiful picture, even on an open hole. Be sure to check the focus when buying. Pros: Beautiful bokeh. Very light. Silent focus. On a hole <2.2 is quite sharp. Has some cons: Chrome is visible to the naked eye and is significantly visible from f/1.4 to f/2.2. I got a copy with back focus, I did not notice it when I bought it.
