Poor mount - unhappy with product support response

Another poster below, please read it as I have had the exact same experience with this product. Great light but the mounting system and customer service are not up to par: Cygolight Ranger is a very bright light. However, the included mount didn't initially fit my 32mm handlebars. So I bought a mount from Cygolite which they said would fit handlebars up to 32mm. When I received the mount I found that the mount is exactly the same as the one that came with the flashlight. Then I noticed that the instructions for the mount state that to fit a 32mm handlebar you have to remove the rubber pads. But the instructions that came with the lamp didn't say a word about it. I think it's Cygolite's fault for not mentioning in the Ranger 1400 manual that the rubber pads had to be removed to fit a 32mm handlebar. I didn't think about it as I felt the rubber was necessary for a proper grip on the handlebars and therefore the rubber pads shouldn't be removed. However, I removed the rubber pads and bracket and then installed a 32mm handlebar. However, without those soft pads, the mount actually slid as I expected. It wouldn't stay in place with the light attached to it, although I did tighten it as tight as I could. I solved the slipping problem by placing a thin friction cloth between the handlebar and the mounting bracket. Also, I didn't like it when Cygolite customer service told me that to get my money back for the mount I would have to pay shipping again which meant the cost of shipping to me and my return would be $8 ( for bracket $16). Add to that the inconvenience of having to go to the carrier to send it back.
