Review on 🎡 Tonearm Lifter by Q UP by Adrian Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Why didn't I know about this device two years ago?!?!?

This little device is incredibly easy to set up and very effective (at least on my TT). I have a Scoutmaster II turntable with a modified arm base that takes up significantly more space than the standard JMW arm that comes with it. The Q UP fits easily on a table, even with a large arm base. However, you'll need some free space on the base to install this thing. I can't say exactly how much, it's not a huge amount, but of course it has to be in a very specific range to work properly. I'd say maybe 1 inch by 2 inches of free space depending on the arm when it reaches the end of the plate. For those concerned about the lifter spring force, it can be adjusted from high to low. My tone arm is in full tune, it won't throw your arm across the room. Check out the 5 second video I've attached showing the Q UP in action on my desk. Anyone worried about their cartridge. I ride the Drive Groove for a long time as always, gotta get one of these right now!

Pros
  • Has a slider to adjust "Lift Sensitivity".
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it is written.
