Review on Airaid Cold Air Intake System: Boost Horsepower, Advanced Filtration - 2007-2011 JEEP (Wrangler, Wrangler III) Compatible - AIR-310-208 by Jim Bethea

Good price for a K&N knockoff system.

Oiled Cloth Air Filter. God, that sounds familiar. Not exactly a terrible setup, but it's the toughest cold air kit I've ever made out of a 4 car. The pictures in the instructions could be better. I don't know why Airaid chose not to reuse the factory plastic choke eyelet/sleeve mounting system, it could have saved 5-10 minutes of installation time and the radiator bracket seems redundant. Here are some tips. The "hump" rubber connector barely fits the plastic intake pipe, but glides over the throttle body without a sweat. So slide the hump over the plastic tube before you can get it anywhere under the hood. Even band clamps are hardly big enough. You'll need to get the bolts all the way out so they hit the hump. And forget about tightening the bolts that go through the choke until you have the intake pipe on the throttle body and in the choke. The instructions say to tighten the bolts, then move on to push the tube through, but you have to bend the choke to allow the intake tube to fit in when it's bolted tight. lighter if it was just 1 inch shorter, it takes a lot of force to push it in and slide it over the intake manifold. Overall a good set but the instructions could do with some updating. It will take a little while for the mileage to improve, but the difference in acceleration at low and medium revs is already noticeable. and the ground makes it hum like a flock of geese!
