This is a decent AC cover at an affordable price. It's box-shaped, so it covers the front, top, sides, and bottom of the device (at least the part that sticks out), unlike some products that leave the bottom exposed. The straps are not well thought out. They never are. Adjustable shoulder straps that don't clip into the case are much more adjustable. They are sewn in one seam, resulting in awkward placement. However, you can do it. There can be no talk of isolation. If you want to insulate your air conditioner, do that first and then lay it down. I used 0.75" rigid foam, cut to size, just taped around the A/C. An old blanket, tied neatly, or a coat or two of Reflectix will do, whichever you prefer. You may need a slightly larger case to accommodate to fit over the insulation. The cover seems waterproof so far. Mine isn't in direct sunlight but seems sturdy enough.
