Review on ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ 2 Pack of Akron Adjustable Floor Jacks (Model C-4), Telescoping Jacks for Temporary Support, Size Range 1'-1' 3 by Andrew Burnside

Potentially the most unsafe product of this type I have ever seen - be careful buyers.

(I am a licensed professional engineer). The product must be installed vertically within 1 degree. Why? because the contact of the adjusting screw plate with the metal cylinder is only 2mm. Mounting plates are sheet metal, not sheet metal. They deform instantly with minimal stress (less than 1000 pounds). Once deformed, all of the weight is on the 10mm x 6mm pivot where the plate sits. Therefore, warped or not, the panels have no structural value. The plates are stamped so the "centering" alignment is like an inverted bowl rather than a sharp 90 degree raised edge. This increases the criticality factor for slippage. Then the contact depth is about 2 mm, as with the cylinder. A slip under load and risk of falling = death or serious injury if "they" get in each other's way. I saved her knowing the serious limitations because I was in a stalemate this weekend to align the canopy (total weight less than 1 ton including contents). Cylinder plus the top and bottom plates to the top of the bolt and the bottom of the cylinder. Once I've filled in my joist foundations and they'll be set in a couple of weeks I'll be removing these bushings and throwing in the junk.
