With it we raised the tiles and saved our backs. The stairs didn't appreciate the weight but the elevator didn't bother at all!

Does what it's supposed to do at a reasonable price. A lift was installed in the garage attic to remove the JK hardtop. Should have bought this a long time ago.

I am very satisfied and impressed with the quality especially for the price. I use an attic lift and this device is perfect. I've only used it a few times so can't comment on its durability yet, but I'll update that later.

Bought for processing deer in the garage. This thing was very easy to install and works amazing! I've only lifted about 200 pounds and haven't had any difficulties. I'm amazed at how quickly it rises and falls. I definitely recommend this winch!

I installed a winch over my attic door to lift boxes, plastic containers, etc. Carrying a box or trash can can be dangerous. It's a very simple setup and easy to use.

The only thing I had to do was attach a longer remote control cable. If you're just hanging it in a regular garage, the included tether will work. I love the fact that it comes with a 3ft, 6ft sling along with a two-piece pulley for routing the line.

Installed with HD Super Pole and unistrut trolley (from Az) for movable loft lifter. Required to extend the control cable. Uses 16 gauge 4 wire SOOW wire (also from Az). The only problem is that the wire is slightly larger than the original wire. Insertion into the fitting must be facilitated at both ends. A few seconds with a Dremel tool did the trick. I just pulled lots of boxes of my wife's Christmas decorations from the attic with no problem.

Great lift! I used this to lift a Thule Cargo Box on the roof to the ceiling of the 12ft garage. Works perfectly. I lifted my (200#) own weight slightly so there wasn't even a slight struggle sound. The cargo box only weighs 65 pounds, so there shouldn't be any problems. I made a double pulley on a 2x4 sling and ratchet that costs a lot less than a Thule ceiling mount system and the best part is that with this hoist you get an electric knob instead of manually raising the Thule crank. I bought this to remove the hard top from my jeep. The winch worked great, the pole and bracket I made for it was a failure! After a few connection changes I finally got it working properly. It had nothing to do with the winch itself but with my making the hard top mount. The winch is very fast, I would suggest using it to the maximum weight limit and hooking the hook to the shackle and using a pulley. This reduced the speed of raising the top to a manageable pace.
