The uniform is sometimes stiff. We really like this skirt. My 7 year old daughter loves skirts way more than pants so we try to buy as many skirts as possible. This is my favorite although it's a bit big. I want her skirts to be over her hips. Just below the belly button. This skirt is a bit big so we simply pinned it up. However, skirts are always big on her waist. If your child usually fits well in skirts, then that's normal. If your child is petite, I would suggest going down the size.
